Auctioneer Casper Cassøe had 62 carefully selected foals under the hammer and 84% were sold for an average price of 15,962 euro and a total turnover of 830,000 euro. Customers from Norway, Spain and the USA were among the fortunate bidders at the auction.

Five foals for Helgstrand

The Danish Warmblood Elite Foal Auction is privileged to have many returning customers and among them are Helgstrand Dressage who purchased five very good foals by their own stallions D’Avie, Franklin, Revolution and Valverde. They purchased the champion dressage colt foal Diaz Skovvang by world champion D’Avie for 45,000 euro.

The dressage colt foal Netstutteriets Fazza, by the popular foal producer Franklin and out of a full sister to the triple world champion Sezuan, became the price highlight of the auction. Helgstrand Dressage succeeded in placing the last bid at 121,000 euro which is the highest knock-down price ever at the Danish Warmblood Elite Foal Auction.

Dressage Filly of the Year sold

Danish team dressage rider, Anna Zibrandtsen has bought several foals and young horses at the Danish Warmblood auctions and she purchased two filly foals at the auction Saturday night. One of them was the sought-after Remember Me, by Blue Hors Don Olymbrio/Sezuan, that had been named champion dressage filly foal and became the most expensive filly foal on the auction as she sold for 80,000 euro.

The showjumper foals at auction - one of them sold for 26,000 Euro

A collection of 23 show jumping foals is considered to be the best ever on the Danish Warmblood Elite Foal Auction. They achieved an average price of 11,609 euro and were mainly sold to Danish show jumping stables one of which bought six show jumping foals. The most expensive show jumping foal displayed a unique pedigree with three Olympic stallions like pearls on a string: Cornet Obolensky - Baloubet du Rouet - Cento. This colt foal sold for 26,000 euro.

Head of the auction committee, Ulrik Kristensen is delighted about the number of returning customers that come back year after year to buy some of the best foals.
– The auction has been a roaring success in terms of execution as well as numbers. I could not be happier on behalf of the studbook as well as the breeders, says Ulrik Kristensen.
