On Saturday at the Danish Warmblood Elite Show at Vilhelmsborg four champion titles were appointed to four outstanding foals.
The best of Danish breeding is exhibited at the Danish Warmblood Elite Show at Vilhelmsborg where regionally selected foals, 2-year-old fillies and saddle-graded mares compete about the champion titles in the breeding categories dressage or show jumping. Saturday four foal champions have been appointed.
The final in the categori dressage fillies saw an impressive field, and yet, the champion clearly outshone her competitors and she is definitely a filly you will not forget. Her name is Remember Me and she is by Blue Hors Don Olymbrio x Sezuan, bred by Lena and Rasmus Dalsgaard. The judges descriped her as a very elegant, graceful and feminine filly with outstanding gaits which are supple, light-footed and uphill. This filly was auctioned at the Danish Warmblod Elite Foal Auction the same night.
A foal by the new 5-year-old FEI/WBFSH world dressage champion, D'Avie earned the title Dressage Colt Foal of the Year. This tall, noble and large-framed foal with a very supple top line and ground-covering, rhythmic gaits is out of a mare by De Noir and the same dam line as Grand Prix stallion Milan and many other succesful horses from breeder Marie Hedegaard Pedersen. His name is Diaz Skovvang and he was auctioned at the Danish Warmblod Elite Foal Auction the same night.
Among the show jumping foals the champion filly title was granted the noble and graceful Carina Ask which excelled with her supple and yet very powerfull canter. Her dam has produced several successful show jumpers including the Danish young horse champion and finalist at Zangersheide, Party Girl. Carina Ask is by Action Man Ask Z x Calato and bred by Ask Stud.
Champion colt foal among the show jumpers, Birkegårdens Catalago by Cornettino Ask x Carson Ask was described as a masculine and large-framed colt with a powerful and well-balanced canter. This foal is out of breeder Heidi Rasmussen's very successful dam line of highly decorated mares.
Sunday at the Danish Warmblood Elite Show is totally devoted to the evaluation of 2-year-old fillies and young saddle-graded mares.
