The number of stallions for licensing is very much like the previous years:

89 in total by now, and this may increase a little after the KWPN sales in early February.

In heat 1 which comprises the 3-year-old and a few 4- and 5-year-old stallions that have never been judged at a licensing before, we have 20 of delicate showjumper pedigree and 44 of pure dressage bloodlines. 5 of these are by gold medal stallion Hesselhøj Donkey Boy and another 5 are by US-owned Grand Galaxy Win.

The other dressage stallions are sired by many different highly estimated dressage breeding sires like for instance triple World Champion Sezuan, Bon Coeur, Blue Hors First Choice, Fürstenball, Floriscount, Veneno, and many others. Among the young showjumpers we see bloodlines from Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, well, and Denmark, too. At the pre-selections they young stallions in both disciplines featured very promising movements and jumping abilities of international top quality.

Heat 2 - 4-year-old breeding stallions with an approved performance test

5 showjumpers and 11 dressage stallions are entered for heat 2. In heat 2 the 4-year-old stallions with an approved and well-done performance test are shown. In heat 3 the 5-year-old and older stallions with passed performance tests and/or international age-appropriate competition results are entered. 5 showjumpers and 4 dressage stallions will be shown here.

During February the Spring Auction lot will be online with videos, pedigree, descriptions etc.
