Pre-selection

Each year in January, the Danish Warmblood Society holds its pre-selections for young colts. Approx. 120-150 young colts are at a DWB pre-selection hoping to obtain admission to the Danish Warmblood National Stallion Show in Herning in March.

On each pre-selection day, the most promising young colts are shown on hard surface.

At the pre-seelction the young colts are shown as either jumpers or dressage potentials, so already when entering the horse, the stallion owner must tick off if the colt is to be shown in freejumping or free in arena.
