Exciting dressage finals with DWB horses22-08-2023 - 12:54

In the coming days, the U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions will be held in Wayne, Illinois and  several Danish Warmblood horses are on the starting list

The prestigious event U.S. Festival of Champions, the US multi-level championship, was kicked off with a victory in Prix St. Georges by Christian Simonson, riding Son of a Lady (by Soreldo / welt Hit II).

 

There are several Danish Warmblood-horses on the starting lists. One of them is Zhaplin Langholt (by Zonik/Stedinger, breeder Ole Magnus Jensen and Bente Graasbøll) ridden by Danish/American Charlotte Jorst.

Together with Christian Simonson with Son of a Lady and Zeaball Diawind (by Fürstenball/Zardin Firfod) as well as Codi Harrison and Katholt's Bossco (by Blue Hors Don Schufro/Michellino) – they are on the longlist for the Pan American Games in Santiago in October, making Danish Warmblood the breeding association with the most horses on the longlist before the Pan Am Games.

At this level we also find Emily Miles with Java Dulce by (Jazz/Deemster), while Allison Nemeth is competing Tiko (by Tailormade Temptation/Akinos) in the Intermediaire II.

 

Danish Warmblood are in the lead in "Intermediaire I" where Son of a Lady is qualified in first place followed by Zeaball Diawind, Zhaplin Langholt and Lauren Samis with Heiline's Oh Land (by Goldfinder V.D.T./Diamond Hit) and CK Sir Shimmi (by Sir Donnerhall II/Kennedy) ridden by Bianca Schmidt.


 

Younger DWB horses

In the class for 7-year-old horses, Møllegårdens Fashion (by Florenz/L'Espoir)is competing under Cesar Parra. The pair won the 6-year-old class last year, while Fashion earned bronze medal at the age of 5 under Katryna Evans.

 

In the 6-year-old class, Lars Petersen participates with Strike (by Blue Hors St. Schufro/Blue Hors Zack), and in the same class Dreamliner (by Revolution/De Niro) will compete under Sarah Sharpe. Also competing in the class is G.Q. (by Grand Galaxy Win) ridden by David Blake.

 

In the class for 5-year-old horses, one horse is registered for Danish Warmblood according to the starting lists: Lindholm's Quick Step (by Quaterhit/Heslegård's Platin)  ridden by Madeleine Bendfeldt.

 

In the 4-year-old class, we find Francetto (by Franklin/Sezuan) ridden by Mackenzie Peer as well as Serupgaard's Cézanne (by Tørveslettens Sylvester/Blue Hors Romanov) ridden by Willy Arts.

 

 

 

Young riders on DWB horses

Also among the championships for the young riders, we find Danish Warmblood horses on the starting lists. In the class for 14 - 18 year-old-riders we find Skovlund's De Nice (by De Noir/Diamond) ridden by Jack Burwell and Hannah Montana W (by Blue Hors Doolittle/Sidney) ridden by Ella Fruchtermann and finally also Trust Me (by Tuschinski/Carano) ridden by Alicia Berger.

 

 


Lars Petersen in his first US Championship

Both Charlotte Jorst and Codi Harrison are training with Lars Petersen, who has obtained American citizenship, and is starting for the first time in an American championship. He will be competing yet another DWB horses, Giovanni-Bell (by Grand Galaxy Win/Blue Hors Don Romantic) in the class "Devoloping Prix St. Georges and in the same class Brian Hafner is competing Runehøj's Shiva (by Sir Donnerhall II/Induc) (bred by Runehøj w/Birgitte Thomsen and Sten Andersen).
