NADWA was delighted to welcome back Johnny Hansen & Signe Wiese from The Danish Warmbloods breeding committee as the judges for our inspection tour 2024. They used their personal time to travel to USA, we are extremely great full for their knowledge and time
Quote from Signe Wiese “In a time where it often feels like our life with horses are under a constant scrutiny from many places, it is nice to be reminded there are joy & nice stories surrounding us. This is exactly what Johnny & I experienced on the 2024 NADWA Inspection tour.”
This year’s inspection tour had 73 horses judged, which is a record high compared to the inspection tours in the past several years. It is fantastic to see more horses attend our inspection tours, even more impressive is that the quality of the horses improves from inspection tour to inspection tour.
The judges were met with ambitious breeders who constantly are striving to improve their horses and breed program, despite the challenge, at times, to breeding horses in USA registered to a smaller European breed organization. The judges traveled to Pennsylvania, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Kansas and finally to Washington state. They traveled over 4300 miles via plane or car.
There were 28 foals /yearlings, 29 mares for inspection in hand, 12 mares for saddle inspection & 4 stallions inspected this year. 2 of the mares that did the saddle inspection were awarded a breeder’s medal in bronze.
