After this year’s last regional saddle grading, Danish Warmblood can now add three new names to the exclusive list of DWB Gold Medal Mares.
Due to the corona-related cancellation of the 2020 DWB Elite Mare Show, it was decided to change the procedure of the regional saddle gradings in Denmark. This year, the mares participating in the regional saddle gradings received their description and grading classification immediately after the riding test and the best mares were invited to compete in a finishing premium ring. The very best mares in the premium ring was awarded either Bronze or Silver medals.
The top of the Silver medal mares where nominated for a Gold medal, and now – as the grading season is over – the DWB Breeding Committee have selected the mares worthy of receiving the Gold Medal.
The three new Gold Medal mares are:
Vestermarkens Shakira by Sezuan x Tailormade Temptation, bred and owned by Kirsten Buus. Dam is the silver medal mare Vestermarkens Tequila. Vestermarkens Shakira scored 900 points in the riding test.
Fransisca by Franklin x Blue Hors Romanov, bred by HH Horses and co-owned by HH Horses & Helgstrand Dressage. Dam is silver medal mare Rapitalà, who is also the dam of gold medal mare Fiontina and Grand Prix-mare Fiontini. Fransisca scored 880 points in the riding test.
