Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this year’s DWB stallion pre-selections took place in January behind closed doors at 37 different locations in Denmark.
A total of 65 stallions were selected for the DWB stallions licensing – 28 jumper stallions and 37 dressage stallions.
Both Cornet Obolensky and Zirocco Blue has three sons forward for the licensing and stand out as the most represented sires in the collection of jumping stallions. Among the dressage stallions Franklin is the most notable sire with six sons selected, Revolutions follows close behind with five sons and Secret is represented by three sons.
Due the current COVID-19 restrictions and the ban on gatherings limited to a maximum of five people, the format of this year’s DWB Stallions Licensing is still undecided. One thing is clear however: For the first time in 41 years, the Stallions Licensing will not take place in Herning.
Update on venue and format will follow as soon as possible.
