After more than a decade at the top of both sport and breeding, Todt un Prince Ask has been named Stallion of the Year in Danish Warmblood
The 2007-born son of Baloubet du Rouet has established himself as one of the most influential jumping stallions in Danish breeding. Bought by Danish Stutteri Ask in 2015, the stallion was first ridden by Rolf-Göran Bengtsson and later by Stutteri Ask’s own Søren Møller Rhode, with whom he formed a standout partnership that claimed Danish Championship gold in 2019, reached the European Championship final in Rotterdam also in 2019, and earned a place in Denmark’s Olympic squad in 2020.
Alongside his sport career, Todt un Prince Ask has made a lasting mark in breeding. Licensed in 2015 and named Elite Stallion in 2021, he has produced 133 Danish-registered offspring, several excelling at the highest level.
He is the sire of three Danish Warmblood Mares of the Year:
- 2021: Veline Ask SRDH
- 2022: Vicky Ask GRDH
- 2025: Grazia Ask SRDH
As well as international performers such as Tornado Rose DWB.
“Above all, he passes on capacity, carefulness, and an outstanding attitude,” noted Johnny Hansen from the DWB Breeding Committee for jumping horses.
Now based at Stald Rockland in northern Denmark, the stallion continues in breeding while enjoying a well-earned step back from top sport.
